Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has revealed that ever since he put his lenses on to investigate and expose corrupt officials and institutions in the country, he has never been dragged to court.
He told Nii Arday Clegg on Accra based Starr FM that it was his recent work on the judiciary that has attracted a lot of suit against him because of the personalities involved.
“Do you know that I have never been sued in my life in these investigations? It was this morning when I was coming that I heard that another suit has been filed and I am sure that by the time I am finished with you, I will be sued left, right and center again,” he said.
Some judges out of the 34 implicated in a judicial corruption scandal by Anas have filed suits at the Supreme Court of the land seeking to clear their names and declare the suspension null and void.
Key among them is Justice Paul Uuter Dery with the most recent one being Justice Ayisi Addo who is seeking 32 claims against Anas in about a 70 paragraph document.
When the suit was being read to Anas, he retorted “oh ho, oh ho”.
Nonetheless, he said he remains resolute and focused believing that the court will set him free since the work he did was in the best interest of the state.
