Music duo, Reggie N Bollie were dropped from Simon Cowell’s Syco Music contrary to their claim of deciding to go independent.
The Sun reports the duo couldn’t meet expectations and were let go.
“Reggie N Bollie were huge hits on the show which is why they reached the final and very nearly won but after they left the show, excitement for them dwindled and they struggled to turn their support into record sales.
“They have worked really hard for the last year but their relationship with Syco didn’t work out and they wanted different things. Their music was very poppy and chart-focused but now they want to focus on a different style.
“It isn’t the end for them though as they plan on continuing to make music as a duo.” reports the UK tabloid.
The publication also spoke to a Syco spokeserson who had this to say: “Reggie ’N’ Bollie are no longer working with us. We wish the guys the best of luck for the future.”

Reggie N Bollie have ended their relationship with music mogul, Simon Cowell.
The group signed a deal with Cowell’s SyCo Music after placing second at 2015 X Factor UK. They took to Micro blogging site Twitter to announce their freedom writing: WE’RE FINALLY INDEPENDENT N IT FEELS F#CKING RIGHT.
The duo have recorded and performed with the likes of Fuse ODG, Craig David and Sean Paul. They released their first single ‘New Girl’ in early 2016 and shot a video for it in Ghana.
Before Reggie Zippy and Bollie made it to the world stage as finalists on the reality music show, X Factor UK, they were champions in their own rights, boasting quite a number of hits songs on the Ghanaian music industry.
Early 2015, the two decided to work together and change their musical fortunes after a long break. They auditioned at Britain’s Got Talent but didn’t make the mark.
They decided to give music another shot, this time on X Factor UK. They impressed the judges and made it as one of 12 contestants, ultimately making it to the finale.
Simon Cowell after one of their performances tweeted: I LOVE Reggie and Bollie
They mashed up What makes you Beautiful with Cheerleader. Sounds crazy but it was fantastic.
Initially known as Menn on Point when they auditioned for the show, they changed their name to Reggie N Bollie. They are made up of Reggie Zippy, who is famous for the song ‘Virgin’ and Bollie of ‘you may kiss the bride’ fame, a song off a compilation project by veteran music producer Hammer.
