AHANTA WEST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY INVESTIGATES MISSING 30,000

The Ahanta West District Assembly in the western region is investigating the whereabouts of thirty thousand ghana cedis that cannot be accounted for.
The said amount was approved by the then District Chief Executive Joseph Dofoyenah, after a request was put in for the rehabilitation of the only basic school in the Aboadi community led by its assembly member Ebenezer Essien .
Speaking on Empire News, the then DCE , Joseph Dorfoyenah recollected how prior to Election 2016,when the supplier told him he could not supply the materials because the approved cheque bears the name of the coordinating director after he approved of the budget . He was shocked to have realised that the cheque was written in the then District Coordinating Director’s name.
He however acknowledged that some work’s were carried out on the Aboadi school though he could not confirm its source of funding.
Kwesi Asobenya Buah, a current appointee and NPP constituency executive has vowed to get to the bottom of the missing cash considering the financial position of the district.
The Ahanta West District is one of the deprived districts in the Western Region.
