KEGYINA COMMUNITY CONTRUCT SPEED RAMPS TO REDUCE PEDESTRIAN KNOCK DOWN

We have lost many especially children just in the name of waiting on the highways authority or government to construct speed rumps for us. It’s high time we constructed temporary ones on our own to salvage the situation.  Those are the words of the Assembly Member for Kagyina in the Ahanta West District Samuel Donkor.

Early this morning scores of youth and some women as well as elders of Kegyina and its adjourning communities have been busy constructing what they describe as temporary speed rumps on a section of the Takoradi Ivory Coast  high way as a community self help measure to reduce the high rate of pedestrian knock downs in the area. According to the assembly member several appeals by the communities along the highway and a Chinese Construction Company for the construction of rumps according to him have fallen on deaf ears.
