It was all set for the Sekondi Constituency primaries to happen in the Western Region on Saturday morning at the Lagoon Side hotel only for an aggrieved member from the Zongo Polling Station placed an injunction of the entire exercise.
Masawoud Issah in an interview with Kwame Malcolm on Empire Fm’s Weekend socio-political program, Western Today said he is praying the Sekondi High Court to declare him eligible to contest as a Polling Station executive ; since some some constituency executives had hatched a plan to make the old executives go unopposed.
He accused the constituency organiser, Daniel Kojo Caiquo for being behind it ; an allegation which remains unproven.
Masawoud told Kwame Malcolm several attempts to make top party executives resolve the issue at the constituency, regional and national levels proved unsuccessful hence his decision to go to court.
Currently three more constituencies in the western region namely shama, Kwseimintsim and Ellembelle have still not held their polling station and constituency elections due to court injunctions.
