The Member of Parliament for the Takoradi Constituency, Kwabena  Okyere Darko-Mensah has disclosed that West African Mills Company one and three which were shut down during the early part of this year has commenced operations.

He said this follows an amicable settlement between the majority shareholder and government.

Speaking to Empire Business, the MP who also doubles as deputy Aviation minister told my colleague Emmanuel Ohene-Gyan  all the challenges that led to the shut have been corrected including repair works, servicing and rehabilitation of the company’s equipment.

The company has so far processed 500 tons of cocoa butter, liquor and cocoa cakes.
