The Director of Outreach Africa Vocational Institute, Daniel Owusu Asiamah is cautioning the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of misplaced priorities in the midst of increasing poverty in the country. Speaking at the 5th graduation of the Vocational Institute in Whindo in the Effia Kwesimintsim Municipality of the Western Region, the Director of the Free Vocational Institute wondered how a chairman of the ruling NPP party will want to spend on free buses as the nation lacks ambulances.
He however lauded the government’s initiative to institute the free senior high school policy.
Daniel Owusu Asiamah chided Christians for failing in helping the needy and wondered the justification of the over 70percent Christian population in Ghana amidst the growing numbers of the needy in the country?
Outreach Africa Vocational Institute has since its inception in February 8,2008,; churned out 946 grandaunts who undertake 2 years of free vocational training in hairdressing, dressmaking, catering , draughtsman ship , with beneficiaries being the needy coming from the various regions of the country with some from Togo and Burkina Faso . The institute has spent 973 thousand Ghana cedis; an equivalent of 9.73 billion cedis of old currency since its inception to equip beneficiaries with the needed skills.
