Community leaders of Diabene in the Essikado-Ketan Constituency have called on President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo to make a statement on the unresolved cases of the alleged kidnapping of three girls who are residents of the community.

Speaking at a press conference, the youth organiser of the Community, Michael Hagan-Grant, said family members of the victims believe that a statement from the presidency on the situation will hasten the process of investigation and help to resolve the cases.

He said the community members have planned to embark on a massive demonstration through the principal streets of Sekondi-Takoradi on February 22, to register their displeasure against the police administration’s poor handling of the cases.

Diabene community, near Butumagyebu, is home to all three girls believed to have been lured and kidnapped by Samuel Wills, a Nigerian resident of nearby, Kansaworodo, who is currently being held by police as investigations continue.
