‘Lost’ Ajet Nassam has left Ghana – Anas

Justice John Ajet Nassam, one of the High Court judges implicated in the judicial corruption scandal has absconded from Ghana, according to ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

“To the best of my knowledge, he has left the country,” Anas said in an interview on Joy FM Monday.

Justice Ajet Nassam, was captured on video allegedly receiving bribe at Zongo Junction in Accra to compromise justice in a case before him. He reportedly received GH₵16,000 to free a suspected criminal.

It has become very difficult for Justice Ajet Nassam to be served with a notice to appear before the committee which started sitting in September after the scandal broke, because his location has not been established.

Ajet Nassam and six other judges, namely Justices Francis K. Opoku, Kofi Essel Mensah, Ernest Obimpeh, Kwame Ohene Essel, Ivy Heward-Mills and Gilbert Ayisi Addo, have been suspended over allegations of trading justice for pecuniary gains.

Anas’ revelation on Justice Ajet Nassam sort of confirms speculations that the beleaguered High Court judge might have escaped to Nigeria to visit his spiritual father, Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
